Cambridge United supporting Samaritans
Cambridge United Community Trust are pleased to support Samaritans, a registered charity aimed at providing emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide.
Volunteers from Samaritans’ local branch, which is based in Cambridge, regularly attend games chat to fans and hand out information about their services and the wider work they do in the community.
More than 6,000 people take their own lives in the UK every year, three quarters are men, and middle-aged men from poorer backgrounds are the most at risk.
Samaritan volunteers are there around the clock, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Whatever you’re going through, anyone can contact Samaritans from any phone on 116 123. This number is FREE to call and will not appear on your phone bill.
